The following OpenEdge versions are certified and supported with the Windows 10 Operating System:
  • OpenEdge 10.2B08
  • OpenEdge 11.3.3
  • OpenEdge 11.4.0
  • OpenEdge 11.5.1
  • OpenEdge 11.6.0
  • OpenEdge 11.7
Progress OpenEdge versions prior to 10.2B08 irrespective of patch level and OpenEdge 11 versions earlier than those listed above, are not certified or supported with the Windows 10 Operating System.

The following OpenEdge versions are certified and supported with the Windows 10 Creators update (1703):

OpenEdge versions prior to 11.7 that certify Windows 10 (listed above), have hot fixes available for known issues caused by the Creators update (1703). The Product Alert from June 2017 provides additional detail about the known issues that were addressed for the certification of the Creators Feature Update: OpenEdge issues after installing Windows 10 Creators update .

The following OpenEdge versions are certified and supported with the Windows 10 Fall creators update (1709):
  • OpenEdge 11.7
Progress OpenEdge versions prior to 11.7 irrespective of patch level, are not certified or supported with the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update (version-1709 build-16299)

Given the scope of feature and new functionality changes by Microsoft, Progress is treating future Windows 10 Feature Updates, as a New Operating System Certification. Refer to the "Future Delivery of Windows 10 Updates" Notes in the OpenEdge 11 Product Availability Guide for more detail.

OpenEdge 10.2B08 on Windows 10 1803 April 2018

The Sep. 2018 OE11 Availability Guide (OpenEdge_11x_availability_guide_2018_09_19.pdf) indicates:

Certified OpenEdge 10.2B on Windows 10 1803 April 2018 Update release. This is the last planned Windows 10 release certification for OpenEdge 10.2B.

OpenEdge 11.7 on Windows 10 LTSC

We also certify Windows 10 LTSC releases, however not all flavors of platforms are certified. For example, Windows SAC are short lived releases which we don't certify, similarly, LTSC are released semi-annually and are considered minor updates which doesn't mandate re-certification.

Please note, though 11.7.0 and higher should work fine with Windows 10 LTSC , we only certify the latest service pack.
