Consider the following when reviewing information provided in this Article:

1.  "Progress" was re-branded "OpenEdge", to differentiate between the "Progress Software Corporation" and the "OpenEdge" product line.

2. OpenEdge certifications are against the Windows Enterprise Edition only.  While Progress does not specifically test Windows Standard Editions, they are expected to work within the limitations described by Microsoft for the Windows Standard Edition.  If a problem is encountered unrelated to performance, please contact Progress Technical Support.

3. The listed Microsoft Windows certifications, are created from the first certified 32-bit OpenEdge versions and later releases, until support is dropped.
  • If the OpenEdge version of interest is an earlier version, by inference it is not certified.
  • Similarly, if the Windows OS version is not listed here, it's not certified.
Example: "OpenEdge 12 dropped future support of Windows 8".

4. Fathom, WebSpeed and Replication products are only separately listed in the earlier 32-bit OpenEdge versions where the versioning numbers differed.
Example: Fathom Replication 3.1A, WebSpeed 3.1A, OpenEdge 10.1A.
Since OpenEdge 10.2 releases these version numberings all match as equal:
Example: OpenEdge Replication 10.2A, OpenEdge 10.2A, WebSpeed 10.2A

5. While this Article is updated periodically, its purpose is to serve as a quick historic reference. Refer to the OpenEdge Product Availability Guide and Reference, for the latest updates. If in doubt, open a Support Case with your local Technical Support Region for further clarification: http://www.progress.com/support-and-services
