How long are LTS release versions supported?
How do LTS releases affect the availability of other new releases?  
What are the current OpenEdge LTS releases ?
 

LTS releases are targeted towards stability and minimal changes for customers. Release Updates (formerly termed Service Packs and/or Hotfix) provide fixes for critical issues.

• OpenEdge version 12.2 is a long term release (LTS). [ Retirement Phase Date: 2028-October ] 
• For continuity purposes, OpenEdge 11.7 is considered an LTS release. [ Retirement Phase Date: 2025-April ]

A non LTS release targets customers who require the most recent feature changes.  These contain new features and bug fixes.
