The separate 10.2A OpenEdge Explorer (OEE) license is to be used with either OpenEdge 10.2A01+ or 10.1C03+.

  • The OEE product became available post major version release, which is why it's available as a free download for these versions.
  • It is only this OEE 10.2A which can be bound to either OE 10.2A01+ or OE 10.1C03+.
  • This license can be downloaded from the online Electronic Download Center http://www.progress.com/esd and once logged in, select on the "Progress Deployment Components"  page.

Since OpenEdge 10.2B

  • The OpenEdge Explorer (OEE), like the Progress Explorer product it replaces, is bound 1:1 with the OpenEdge version installed. For example, OEE 10.2B is used only with OE 10.2B.
  • The OpenEdge Explorer license is integrated with the same product licenses that still or used to integrate the retired Progress Explorer.
  • During installation an option to include the OpenEdge Explorer is enabled by default and a separate install and working directory need to be provided.
