David Beavon (Software) asked a question.
We have a very old database schema, and the replication write and replicate delete triggers are being displays in two places. See image.
Notice that some are displayed under the heading "4GL Trigger" where the event is "Replication-Write". And others are displayed under the "Replication Trigger" where the event is "WRITE".
It is pretty confusing. I'm guessing maybe the tooling changed at some point and new triggers have metaschema that put them in the "Replication Triggers" folder or something like that. Does that sound possible?
Was there a prior database upgrade which should have corrected this stuff, for consistency? We've been using Progress since before v9 and now we are on 12.8. Maybe there is some conversion script from ten years ago that we need to run?
The docs seem to imply that these are the only valid "4GL Trigger" options:
CREATE (C), DELETE (D), WRITE (W), FIND (F), or ASSIGN (A)
See https://documentation.progress.com/output/ua/OpenEdge_latest/pdsoe/PLUGINS_ROOT/com.progress.dbnavigator.help/rfi1348847706729.html
So I'm guessing the "4GL Trigger" types that say "Replication-Write" are wrong/invalid. How fix?
