When is the next version of WS_FTP Server 2025.x (v10.x) with an updated version (v.17.11+) of PostgreSQL expected to be released?

PostgreSQL v.17.11 was released on 13th August 2026 to address a number of vulnerabilities, including a high severity issue, found in v17.10 and earlier versions.

 

My company wants all PostgreSQL instances running on its estate to be upgraded to 17.11 by early October 2026, so I really need an updated version of the WS_FTP Server 2025 (10) which includes PostgreSQL 17.11 ASAP. Does anyone know if this is planned, please?

    @Stephen Halliday (Customer)​  Yes, Postgresql 17.11 is in the Roadmap and we are trying to release this soon.

    At this point the Postgresql version in use is 17.10-2 with WS_FTP Sever latest SP 10.0.3.

      odd, When I upgraded from 8.8 to 10.0.3 in June I asked this question. The upgrade DID NOT upgrade our installed postgres server. It is still on 14.23-1.. Will you be releasing a PostgresSQL automatic update to 17.11 when it is released?

      Furthermore 17.11 is functionally obsolete (unsupported) on Windows Server 2025 which most companies are moving to in a hurry:

      image.pngThe current shipping version is 18.6, which is what I would suggest your next build be based on. At least then you will be on par with Microsoft OS versions and Postgres SQL
