Megan Perry-Thibault (Customer) asked a question.
We have a series of pages not respecting any title source and instead drawing from the site's name.
We have a group of pages page with a different form on each page. Each page name, SEO title, and form name are all set to the "20xx Fee Schedule".
I confirmed our settings for the site have SEO & Open Graph enabled, and the form widget does not seem to have a setting to override the page title (and even if it did, it is titled correctly).
Yet for some reason, the title tag for the pages is generating as <title>Site Name</title> instead of <title>20xx Fee Schedule</title>.
Is there a way to fix this? A setting I missed somewhere? A workaround if this is a bug?
Thank you!
UPDATE: We found the issue. A widget was over-riding the page title though the PageTitleSet field in Advanced - MetadataFields. We updated the field to DoNotSet and it fixed the issue.
On that note: If you are using a dynamic content widget (such as the one that was causing the issue) and it is the type that will never need to over-write the built in page title, you can set the PageTitleMode to be automatically filled with DoNotSet though the toolbox settings for said widget.
Navigate to Administration » Settings » Advanced » Toolboxes » PageControls » [Widget Section] » Tools » [Widget] » Toolbox item parameters and click "Create New". Then add a parameter for MetadataFields.PageTitleMode with the value as DoNotSet (screen shot below).
