Automate MFT 1.20 Is Here—Easier Migration, Better Troubleshooting and Improved Resource Management

We’re excited to announce Progress Automate MFT 1.20. This release helps teams move forward with migration planning, troubleshoot task activity more easily, and manage larger Automate MFT environments with greater efficiency.

What’s New in Automate MFT 1.20

  • Migrate tasks from MOVEit Automation:
    • Import supported MOVEit Automation task configurations into Automate MFT through a guided workflow that converts task settings, creates or reuses required entities, flags unsupported items, and keeps imported tasks disabled until they are reviewed and validated.
  • Automate larger migration activities:
    • Use the Automate MFT API to support broader migration efforts and help streamline the transition from MOVEit Automation to Automate MFT.
  • Export task run logs:
    • Download task run logs directly from the viewer as text files to simplify troubleshooting, auditing, and support workflows.
  • Improved search and pagination:
    • Find and select resources more easily with searchable, paginated dialogs for schedules, source endpoints, destination endpoints, and tasks—especially helpful in environments with many configured objects.
  • Clearer PGP key selection:
    • Select the right PGP public or private key more confidently with an updated key selection experience that distinguishes between key types.
  • Progress-Hosted Agent storage validation:
    • Tasks now check available Progress-Hosted Agent storage before starting large downloads, helping avoid partial transfer activity when there is not enough disk space.
  • Simpler Amazon S3 endpoint setup:
    • The AWS Region field is now optional when configuring Amazon S3 endpoints, improving compatibility with imported MOVEit Automation configurations.

Fixes and Other Improvements

Automate MFT 1.20 also includes fixes across scripting suggestions, tenant settings, CIFS endpoint connectivity, and scheduled execution behavior. These updates improve usability, configuration accuracy, and runtime reliability.
