Getting the Failed to connect to PostgreSQL database error when trying to upgrade from WS_FTP_Server-2022 to WS_FTP_Server-2024.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Getting the below error when trying to upgrade from WS_FTP_Server-2022 to WS_FTP_Server-2024.

 

Failed to connect to PostgreSQL database (error 2): 

Error object count: 1 

Error 1: 

Error number: -2147467259 

Native error: 101 

SQL State: 08001 

Error source: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers 

Error description: connection to server at "127.0.0.1", port 5432 failed: Connection refused (0x0000274D/10061)

Is the server running on that host and accepting TCP/IP connections?

    @Joanne Lyons (Customer)​ Hi Joanne, Can you please exclude Postgresql and WS_FTP dir's from AV scan and then pursue with the Upgrade. This upgrade path is supported.

    We had some used cases where excluding these Dir's from AV had helped the upgrade running successfully.
