Thanks to everyone who came! The video is now up on YouTube. We discussed:

    • AI traffic and attribution: Why AI-driven traffic is becoming “dark traffic” and why traditional analytics aren’t telling the whole story
    • Agentic AI and websites: How AI agents are changing the way people discover information and interact with websites
    • AI measurement: Why there’s no single source of truth for AI traffic and what teams can do about it
    • Better AI prompting: How to get AI to challenge your thinking instead of simply agreeing with you
    • Local AI models: How running AI locally can help keep data and models within your organization
    • Smarter AI workflows: Why breaking complex tasks into smaller steps can lead to better results
    • AI for content creation: How grounding AI in brand guidelines, messaging and internal content can improve output and reduce review time
    • AI in real life: How AI helped organize information and next steps during a stressful real-world situation

See you in September! Date announcement soon~

We had a question submission for this week. I'll quote it here:

"Regarding AI - what is challenging for me these days is to check the referral requests that come from AI.

For example, I ask ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, Meta AI and etc. about a company, AI returns a response with a link inside the chat response referring to a website page from this same company website. I click this link and end up on the company’s website. I want to track those requests

Google Analytics for example returns only Perplexity because the rest include rel="noreferrer" or referrerpolicy="no-referrer" deliberately and Google analytics cannot distinguish those visits from someone just typing the url directly.

We are currently using the IIS server logs for this.

It looks like there are many tools for tracking this but in reality they are not doing exactly that.

They want you to specify questions/topics and then they ping the AI models with these questions and tell you if someone asks these questions today you will or you not get cited and what is your share of voice. Which is different than who actually ended up on your website."

We'll see if we can get that answered on the show!!
