Peter Rau (Customer) asked a question.

If I had a copy of WS_FTP Server, would I be able to connect to a OPENSSH server using ECDSA keys only. I currently have WS_FTP Pro Client, and it fails to connect. Thank you. I'm trying to figure out if I should upgrade.

@Peter Rau (Customer) Hi Peter, Please refer https://community.progress.com/s/article/Supported-SSH-Algo-s

The WS_FTP PRofessional version 13.0 supports the below Host key algos

    ssh-ed25519

    ecdsa-sha2-nistp256

    ecdsa-sha2-nistp384

    ecdsa-sha2-nistp521

    rsa-sha2-512

    rsa-sha2-256

    ssh-rsa

    ssh-dss

Therefore, if you are running any version older than 13.0 then WS_FTP PRO would not be able to connect to a SFTP HOST using ECDSA or EDSDSA host key as it was not supported in older versions.

Please refer to the KB above and upgrade WS_FTP PRO accordingly.
