We’re excited to announce Progress Automate MFT 1.17. This release adds new cloud authentication options, expands reporting access through REST APIs, and includes usability improvements that help teams administer Automate MFT more efficiently.

What’s New in Automate MFT 1.17

• OIDC authentication for S3 (AWS)
  • Use OpenID Connect with S3 authentication to better align cloud transfers with modern identity and access practices.
• REST API support for reports:
  • Retrieve Task Run, File Activity, and Audit Log report data programmatically for dashboards, monitoring, and compliance workflows.
• Clone endpoints
  • Copy existing endpoint configurations to reduce setup time and improve consistency.
• Password support for SSH private keys
  • Add another layer of protection for SFTP private key authentication.
• Multiple agents on one machine:
  • Run multiple agents concurrently as separate services or command-line processes.
• Reusable audit report filters
  • Start new reports from previously used filter criteria to simplify recurring reporting.
• Improved File Activity search and Roles management
  • Find activity faster and manage roles more easily with updated UI behavior.

Fixes and Other Improvements

Automate MFT 1.17 also includes fixes across key and certificate handling, user management, the SSO users grid, and scripting suggestions.
