Automate MFT 1.16 Is Here—More Control, Better Visibility and Improved Reliability

Progress Automate MFT 1.16 introduces enhancements that make day-to-day operations easier, reporting more useful, and agent connectivity more predictable. From personalized grid layouts and stronger audit filtering to improved reporting and more reliable agent behavior, this release helps teams work more efficiently and manage automation with greater confidence.

What’s New in Automate MFT 1.16

  • Personalized grid layouts
    • Users can now personalize grid layouts across Automate MFT. Column widths, visibility, and ordering are saved per user and applied automatically across supported pages, reports, dialogs, and embedded grids. A new Reset to Default Layout option allows users to restore default grid configurations on a per-view basis.

  • Advanced audit log filtering
    • Audit log reporting now includes advanced filtering options to help administrators and compliance teams generate more precise, targeted reports. Available filters include actor, event type, resource type, outcome, source IP address, and both relative and custom date ranges.

  • Enhanced Task Run reporting
    • The Task Run report now supports full-text task name search with wildcard support, along with filtering by task name, status, starter, starter type, and time period. Teams can also use predefined or custom date and time ranges for faster analysis.

  • Enhanced File Activity reporting
    • The File Activity report now includes full-text search across task names, file names, and paths, plus filtering by task name, status, and time period. Predefined and custom date and time ranges make it easier to find the information you need quickly.

  • Deterministic Agent registration
    • Agent registration has been redesigned to use deterministic geography selection based on registration key prefixes. Agents now connect directly to their target environment without cross-region fallback attempts, improving reliability, compliance, and scalability.

  • Improved Agent Pool load distribution
    • Task assignment across Agent Pools has been enhanced. When multiple agents have the same workload, the system now randomly selects among eligible agents, resulting in more balanced task distribution and improved resource utilization.

Fixes and Other Improvements

Automate MFT 1.16 also includes a range of fixes across tasks, logging, the user interface, and scheduling. These updates address nested folder macro behavior, FTPS transfer performance to MOVEit Transfer, audit log accuracy, task session cleanup, agent registration experience, and schedule summary rendering.
