Automate MFT 1.14 Is Here—Built for More Flexible, Reusable Automation

Progress Automate MFT 1.14 introduces new ways to standardize task configuration, improve usability at scale, and extend automation through the API. This release helps teams build more reusable workflows, reduce manual configuration, and manage file transfer operations more efficiently across environments.

What’s New in Automate MFT 1.14

  • Task Parameters
    • Automate MFT now supports task parameters, giving teams a simpler way to define named values once and reuse them across workflows. Instead of hard-coding environment-specific details, users can configure values dynamically at runtime to make tasks easier to standardize, adapt, and maintain.
    • Parameters can be applied across common automation scenarios wherever macros are supported, including file paths, rename patterns, scripts, post-run actions, and API-triggered task runs. The result is more flexible, reusable automation with less duplication and fewer manual edits.

  • Pagination for Tasks and Libraries
    • Pagination is now available for Tasks and all Library items, making it easier to navigate larger automation environments as usage grows. This update also brings more consistent page controls to Task Run and File Activity Reports for a smoother, more intuitive experience across the product.

  • New API Options
    • Automate MFT 1.14 also expands API flexibility with new options that help teams trigger and parameterize automation more efficiently:
      • Start Task by Name
      • Start Task with Parameters

Fixes and Other Improvements

Alongside these new capabilities, Automate MFT 1.14 includes a range of fixes and refinements to improve task execution reliability, scheduling behavior, scripting support, reporting accuracy, and overall day-to-day usability. These updates reflect continued investment in making Automate MFT more dependable and easier to operate at scale.
