John Picinich (Progress Software) asked a question.
Progress Automate MFT 1.13 raises the bar for file transfer automation across hybrid environments. This release delivers highly requested cloud integrations, expands automation flexibility, and sharpens the user experience—making it easier to build, run, and manage secure file workflows at scale.
What’s New in Automate MFT 1.13
- New cloud storage endpoints
- Google Cloud Storage support – Seamlessly transfer files to and from Google Cloud Storage using either HMAC or OAuth 2.0 authentication, giving teams more flexibility in how they connect and secure cloud workflows.
- Microsoft OneDrive support – Automate file transfers with OneDrive using the same authentication approach as SharePoint, configured just like any other endpoint for a consistent setup experience.
- More powerful, flexible automation
- Expanded macro support – Macros can now be used across a broader set of task step input fields, including Source, Destination, Rename, Compress, Email, and more—making tasks more dynamic, reusable, and easier to standardize.
- Clearer, more intuitive user experience
- Improved permission visibility – Navigation items and task editing controls are now clearly disabled when users don’t have access, reducing confusion and making read‑only or restricted experiences obvious at a glance.
Fixes and Other Improvements
Alongside new capabilities, Automate MFT 1.13 includes a wide range of fixes and refinements designed to improve stability, reliability, and day‑to‑day usability:
- Task configuration and execution reliability
