Milan Kralevich (Customer) asked a question.
The client has an OpenEdge Authentication Gateway configured, where there are two types of domain, LDAP(ldap) and local(_oslocal). Now they want to connect to the database via JDBC. But an attempt to connect using the default dba account "sysprogress" returns the Access denied error. An SQL user named sysprogress has been created in the _user table.
I found an article in the knowledge base
It says that you need to use sysprogress@<domain>, but there is no information on what type of <domain> should be configured in the OEAG. We tried sysprogress@ldap and sysprogress@local, but it doesn't work.
Do I understand correctly that the sysprogress user must be registered in the OS or in LDAP? Or should I set up some special domain type in the OEAG for SQL users?
First, once OEAG enabled domain is mandatory as part of the userid.
In the above case, you are correct, the two domains you defined will need to be ablet to authenticate "sysprogress" userid.
