How to disable OEAG on a replication enabled database?
Hello!
I'm studying OpenEdge Authgateway (OEAG) and have questions not covered in the documentation.
Specifically, I found instructions to enable OEAG on source and target replication databases, which work fine.
However, I couldn't find information on how to disable OEAG in these databases, especially if the OEAG server fails and authentication via the _user tab is needed.
I tried to disable OEAG on a running source and target database, but I got the error
- proutil sports -C disableauthgateway
- ** The database sports is in use in multi-user mode. (276)
Then I stopped the database and repeated the command again, but I got a different error
- proshut sports -by
- proutil sports -C disableauthgateway
- Access to database sports not allowed. The database is enabled for site replication but either replication is not running, or this process is not authorized to open a replication enabled database. (10356)
How to disable OEAG on a replication enabled database?
I tried disabling replication in database online, but I got a new error
I managed to disable replication using the dsrutil utility only by starting the database.
Then I stopped the database and executed proutil disableauthgateway command again. The OEAG disabled successful.
But perhaps there is another way, because disabling replication in order to disable Authgateway is a bad idea.
Quick update. Does anyone use OEAG in their applications? Is there a way to disable OEAG in a database with replication enabled without disabling replication itself?
I suggest you open a ticket and pose the question to Tech Support, and then update the thread with their answer.
