Admin App Image Context Menu Not Working

In version 15.3.8522, the admin app fails to display the image context menu if the <img> itself is not nested inside a paragraph tag AND the user aligns the image left, right, or center. It appears that the style "float" attribute causes Sitefinity to replace the context menu with a different version that removes the alignment and edit buttons.

Hi @David Hoernig (Matrix Group International) ,

I have a Sitefinity .NET Core project version 15.3.8521and I could not replicate the problem.

I inserted an image in a Content block/Rich text editor and made sure it is not wrapped in a paragraph - in fact I had the image tag only in this content block. Then aligned the image using the toolbar tool - I tried center, right and left but I didn't experience any issues with the image context.

imageimageI guess you might be experiencing the issue on a Sitefinity standard MVC mode project or I might be missing something in my steps.

Some other details might be also important. I am running a project that was created in version 15.3 with no customizations on the Admin app.

Is your project upgraded or created in version 15.3? Do you have any customizations to the Admin app? Are there any errors in the browser console or even the error logs when the issue happens? Does it happen with images with specific extension or it happens with all images? These type of details might help get to the root cause of the issue and identify if it is a bug or it is something project related.

I just wanted to see if I can replicate it on my side since I have a project on this version.

If I miss any steps please let me know and I will try again. At least we can see if I can replicate it on my side.

    Regards,

    Sabrie
