Error in Corticon when trying to validate the mapping of a database

In Corticon Studio when I try to do a EDC connection with a data base I get the following error when I want to validate the mapping

"A problem occurred while trying to acquire a cached PreparedStatement in a background thread."

I'm working on version 7.0

The database Server that I use is Progress OpenEdge

The connection with the database is working

Metadata was successfully imported

If any more details are needed please let me know.

Thank You.

    Hi Serban,

Does this impact execution or just validation? We've seen this issue with validation with one other database (Snowflake) and believe its in the version of the c3p0 library used for connection pooling.

    Thanks, Jim

The error "A problem occurred while trying to acquire a cached PreparedStatement in a background thread" usually happens due to driver compatibility issues with Corticon 7.0.

    A few things to check:

    1. Make sure your Progress OpenEdge JDBC driver is compatible with Corticon 7.0.
    2. Try disabling PreparedStatement caching in the driver settings if possible.
    3. Update to the latest Corticon 7.x fixpack, as some JDBC issues were fixed.
    4. Verify the database user has permission to prepare statements.
