    @Cathy O'Dea (Customer)​ Hi Cathy, May i know what client or application will you be using to connect with MOVEit Transfer for file or folder deletion. Not every client would have abilities to delete folders and subfolders as it depends upon the permissions.

    The best process is to manually perform the folder deletions as admin by logging into the web UI.

    For file deletions, if an user has delete permissions then using any client it can perform the same. I think this request must be posted as a support ticket to MOVEit Technical Support with an elaborate description of what specific is needed and the conditions that are in place.

      Hello Samik and thank you. I did put in a feature request, I think is what it is called, a year + ago, for adding multi select of Groups, the same as exists for multi-select of folders, for deleting using the Web UI. The problem I am faced with is that an API that was not running properly in our environment back ~2 years ago, created many folders and associated groups, but the API to then delete those folders and groups to clean up was broken. I have been manually selecting and deleting these ghost folders and groups - group deletion being very cumbersome because you can not multi-select. I decided to post the question in case anyone users had done any scripting to delete Groups or Folders, based on the input of a .csv or txt file. I have a feeling there is nothing out there, but worth the ask.
