Progress Software has released Corticon.js 2.1. This release includes updates and new features benefiting all Corticon users including:

For business process owners: Corticon.js 2.1 brings the power of Corticon to MarkLogic users. Corticon allows business users to automate decisions processes with little or no support from IT. This allows the subject matter experts to rapidly automate business policies and update them when business requirements change. This is essential in a broad range of industries including financial services and healthcare, to public sector, and more.

For IT: Coritcon.js 2.1 allows decision processes to run directly on MarkLogic. There is no need to configure external services for decision automation or manage their connections with MarkLogic. With Corticon.js 2.1, your decision processes run directly on MarkLogic’s built-in javascript engine, maximizing throughput and minimizing latency. With Corticon enabling business users to automate business processes, IT resources can be directed to other priorities.

For developers: Corticon.js 2.1 introduces new APIs that simplify integrating and extending Corticon.js decision services. Data retrieved from external services can now be added to the payload being processed with a single line of code. Gone is the need to use Corticon’s API to create and associate individual entities. With Corticon.js 2.1, any JSON data retrieved by a custom extension can be easily added to the payload being processed.
