Graham Van der vaart (Customer) asked a question.
I have servers that have performance monitors setup to use SNMP and others that use WMI. I would like to have, either a report, or setup groups that clearly and easily show such assignments. We have 2000 servers and struggle to track these assignments.
Here are two dynamic groups:
For WMI Performance Monitors
For Windows Devices using SNMP
Let me know if it works.
Hi Mike, it just didn't work as expected. So, I decided to make 6 groups for wmi\snmp and cpu\disk and mem.
The following queries appear to do the trick...
SELECT DISTINCT Device.nDeviceID
FROM Device INNER JOIN
PivotStatisticalMonitorTypeToDevice ON Device.nDeviceID = PivotStatisticalMonitorTypeToDevice.nDeviceID INNER JOIN
StatisticalMonitorTypeConfigurationData ON PivotStatisticalMonitorTypeToDevice.nPivotStatisticalMonitorTypeToDeviceID = StatisticalMonitorTypeConfigurationData.nPivotStatisticalMonitorTypeToDeviceID
WHERE (StatisticalMonitorTypeConfigurationData.sName = 'SelectedProtocol') AND (StatisticalMonitorTypeConfigurationData.sValue = '1') AND (Device.bRemoved = 0)
AND PivotStatisticalMonitorTypeToDevice.nStatisticalMonitorTypeID = 4
I just use either StatisticalMonitorTypeConfigurationData.sValue = '1' or StatisticalMonitorTypeConfigurationData.sValue = '2' for wmi\snmp selection and ...
PivotStatisticalMonitorTypeToDevice.nStatisticalMonitorTypeID = 4 for cpu (2 for disk and 5 for memory
I was also able to group servers with VMWare based monitors ...StatisticalMonitorTypeConfigurationData.sValue = '3'
