Swathi Yellavaram (Progress Software) asked a question.
ADE - OpenEdge 12.6 Development Tools Source Code
The source files of the OpenEdge 12.6 AppBuilder product that were included in OpenEdge Release 12.6 commercial shipment are available now in GIT https://github.com/progress/ADE/tree/v12.6.0.0
Progress will not accept modifications to this code. However, if you want to share something you develop using this code, please submit it to OpenEdge Code Share.
There are clearly lots of missing files in this release. And the new commit style is quite interesting...
One thing that I've noticed is missing from many PSC projects on github is the LICENSE file - https://github.com/orgs/progress/repositories
All projects that have license information seems to use Apache 2.0(https://github.com/progress/openedge-demos/blob/master/LICENSE), maybe an overlook so thought to mention it... it's kinda important to know under what terms one can use the code you guys are releasing into the wild :)
Hi All,
The issue related to the missing class files is fixed now. Please go ahead and use the repo and let us know if there are any further concerns.
@Marian Edu (ACORN IT) We are working on placing the license file too, you will get an update at the earliest.
Note: In our new process, the source codes that have been made available at https://github.com/progress/ADE/tree/v12.6.0.0 are internally maintained in multiple git repos. When we have to release these source codes for a particular release, the changes from different git repos are pulled and pushed to https://github.com/progress/ADE/.
Thanks,
Talha
