ADE - OpenEdge 12.4 Development Tools Source Code
This download contains the source files of the OpenEdge 12.4 AppBuilder product that were included in OpenEdge Release 12.4 commercial shipment. Progress will not accept modifications to this code. However, if you want to share something you develop using this code, please submit it to OpenEdge Code Share.
Thanks
Hi Mike,
What happened on GitHub? All 12.4 (https://github.com/consultingwerk/ADE-Sourcecode/commit/64431339799d79b58456fd66d4c94725f88ef564) files are considered completely changed, line ending issue or something else?
Thanks
There are good reasons why I prefer Perforce over Git :)
Should be fixed now. Thanks
Am I missing here something?
Also this:
There really is no ToAblObject anywhere.
Are you using 12.4? The docs (which are impossible to direct link to since community is adding crap to the url, so copy and paste https://documentation.progress.com/output/oehttpclient/oe124/index.html?OpenEdge.Core.Json.JsonSerializer.html in your browser) indicate that the JsonSerializer ToAblObject method was introduced in 12.4.
yes I'm using 12.4 and there was something about the (pro)path
I accidentally started prowin without our custom paths and it worked fine
I'll have to investigate this further
I've found it and I'm still confused
why the src\corelib\OpenEdge\Core\Json\JsonSerializer.cls from this archive does not have definition for ToAblObject
I'm guessing that gui\OpenEdge.Core.pl contains valid JsonSerializer.r because with this one in propath QueryEntryDeserializer.cls and UpdateDataRequestValueWriter.cls compile without problems
also 12.4 .pdf documentation does not mention ToAblObject anywhere or .pdfs were modified after creating index file
look at this
what am I doing wrong
I do not think you are doing anything wrong. Progress just messed up creating their deployment, maybe @Peter Judge (Progress Software) can chime in.
the more I dig the more I think 12.4 should not have seen the light of the day for some more time
in .chm help when you click on any OpenEdge.Core link it tries to open a web page and every single one is
Not Found
The requested URL /output/oehttpclient/OpenEdge.Core.xxx.package.html was not found on this server.
@Tomislav Pavlovic (Progis) The URLs at /output/oehttpclient should redirect to /output/oehttpclient/oe116 , so there seem to be 2 issues there (no redirect and to a very old version).
Still looking into the code ("ToAblObject") question.
