Has anyone successfully setup monitoring of an EMC VNX via the SMI-S provider with WhatsUp Gold? We are specifically wanting to monitor Storage Pool and Storage LUN capacity, performance and overall health.
WhatsUp Gold doesn't support EMC VNX out of the box, only EMC Unity systems. For VNX, I believe you can setup WUG to receive SNMP traps from the system in regards to overall health. As for capacity and performance, it may be possible but would certainly need to be customized. In the past, I actually played around with using SSH to output information capacity wise to alert on.
