It is reported that JSON-LD, Twitter tags, or other custom head content is not rendered on frontend pages in Sitefinity Cloud environments such as Staging, Authoring, or Production.

When adding any elements to layout that include the term "description" then that element is not rendered in html output.
If another element is included in the layout then that second element is rendered. This leads to discovering that Telerik.Sitefinity.Modules.Pages.PageHelper.RemoveMetaControlFromPage is the most likely cause.

- This is not the same issue as known behavior where head content containing the word description may be removed.
- In this case, script or meta tags are not stripped after rendering; they are never added because subscription is skipped.
- The issue can affect JSON-LD, Twitter meta tags, or any custom head content using the same custom pattern.
- The problem is more visible in Cloud environments because output cache configuration commonly exposes the handler wrapper scenario.

When waitForPageOutputCacheToFill=true is enabled, Sitefinity may process requests through Telerik.Sitefinity.Web.PageHandlerWrapper. If custom code depends on this pattern:

...
var currentHandler = HttpContext.Current.CurrentHandler as Page;
if (currentHandler != null)
{
    currentHandler.PreRenderComplete += this.OnPreRenderComplete;
}
...

the type check fails because CurrentHandler is not the Page instance. As a result, the PreRenderComplete handler is never attached, and custom JSON-LD or meta tags are never added to the page head.

Do not rely on HttpContext.Current.CurrentHandler is Page when registering custom head injection logic in environments that use waitForPageOutputCacheToFill=true.

Use Sitefinity EventHub and subscribe to IPagePreRenderCompleteEvent during application startup. Add head content through evt.Page.Header.Controls so the code runs against the actual rendered page object even when the current handler is wrapped.

Recommended pattern:

using System;
using System.Web.UI;
using Telerik.Sitefinity.Abstractions;
using Telerik.Sitefinity.Services.Events;
using Telerik.Sitefinity.Web.Events;

public class CustomHeadInjectionModule
{
    public void Initialize()
    {
        Bootstrapper.Bootstrapped += this.OnBootstrapped;
    }

    private void OnBootstrapped(object sender, EventArgs e)
    {
        EventHub.Subscribe<IPagePreRenderCompleteEvent>(this.OnPagePreRenderComplete);
    }

    private void OnPagePreRenderComplete(IPagePreRenderCompleteEvent evt)
    {
        if (evt == null || evt.Page == null || evt.Page.Header == null)
        {
            return;
        }

        var script = new LiteralControl(
            "<script type=\"application/ld+json\">{ \"@context\": \"https://schema.org\" }</script>");

        evt.Page.Header.Controls.Add(script);
    }
}

Either: Use a dummy sacrificial element that will get removed

Use \u0064 as mentioned in KB article Additional page head HTML doesn't render if it contains the text "description"
