Ensuring business continuity when Chef Automate license is about to expire

Starting with Chef Automate v4.12.144, the Automate UI displays notifications when your license is 90 days from expiration. After the license expires, Chef Automate normally provides a 60-day grace period during which the product continues to function while you apply an updated license. However, if the license type is incorrectly set to internal instead of commercial, the grace period will not activate. This article explains how to identify this condition and correct it to ensure seamless continuity.
