Class fails to compile if class name is partial match for temp-table field name

A class that matches it's class name with a field name in a temp-table it defines fails to compile in OpenEdge 11.5.1, 11.6.x, and it has unqualified references to it's own members (methods/properties). This also happens if the field name is an abbreviated match. This did not fail in releases up to and including 11.3.
