Amazon AWS Private CA Certificate Chains In Chef Automate or Chef Server

Automate or Chef Infra Servers need to be configured with the full cert chain because their certificate's chain is not automatically sourced from a ca-bundle or keychain store on operating systems. If they do not, the client has no way to verify the cert chain and the attempted TLS connection fails. Amazon/AWS's private CA cert chain is one such root CA. We will use that chain as an example here. Keywords: CA, PKI, chain, cert, key
