Allow the Import and Export of DMN Rule Models in Corticon

  • Under Review

The use of the vendor neutral DMN standard for representing business logic as decision tables is becoming more widespread since the adoption of the standard by the OMG recently.

Apart from representing the rules horizontally rather than vertically the DMN standard is very compatible with Corticon - though DMN is not yet powerful enough to represent all of the concepts in Corticon without resorting to FEEL (essentially English code).

Despite this it would be very nice if Corticon could import rule models created in other tools (which typically do not have an execution system). It would also be nice if Corticon could export its rule models as DMN to facilitate interchange of rules.

Example

  • And again a vendor lockin from psc! DMN is a widely accepted industry standard.
