Sonic/generic "adapter" not showing up in OEE

This question is not answered

I have two pasoe servers.

One is able to manage the sonic/generic "adapter" in the OEE console. The other is not.
Ideally I'd see the adapter in the console as follows:

I was able to discover this in the admserv.log:

This PASOE server has generic-adapter visibility in OEE

Has no generic-adapter visibility in OEE

Based on the message (Plugin.SonicMQAdapter not installed: Plugin not licensed) ...  I'm assuming that adminserver thinks there is a licensing issue.  The odd thing is that despite the OEE visibility, the adapter is part of my ubroker.properties and is running just fine.  I can use it and manage it with commands to adaptman.  It is only thing missing is visibility in OEE .

I had thought that this "adapter" was a free component of the adminserver framework (similar to things like OEE itself and nameserver).  Why am I getting errors?

  • Hi,

Are you saying you have two different PASOE installations in different servers?

Can you list the products that you have installed in each server(you can find that information by running "showcfg" command in proenv)

On which Openedge version you are seeing this issue?

    Thanks,

    Vinod

  • Yes two different PASOE's on different hosts.

Both are 11.7.5 with the same hotfix (013 I believe).

Both are running the "sonicMQ1" adapter fine.  But the first one in the list below does not show it in OEE.  The second one is a PDSOE workstation.

OEE HAS *NO* VISIBILITY ON sonicMQ1

    OEE HAS VISIBILITY ON sonicMQ1

Any tips would be appreciated.  Would you also please confirm that the "generic adapter" is a free component of the ubroker framework like nameserver and OEE?
