OpenEdge Development Kit 11.7 installation fails.

Hi Team,

I tried installing OE 11.7 development kit directly via .exe and also into silent Mode as :

setup.exe -psc_s -psc_f1=C:\SilentInstalls\oesetup.ini -psc_f2=C:\SilentInstalls\oesetup.log

But, it's not working at all. It starts the installation, but nothing happen after screen as : performing 1 of 3 steps.

  • Hi Yadav, sorry to hear that you're having an issue.  Is it possible for me to get a copy of the oesetup.ini and oesetup.log files to see if I can determine the problem?

    I am not getting the oesetup.ini anywhere in system, but I got setup.log in Temp Directory, which show some error.

    Also, from my "C:\SilentInstalls" in can get 2-files as : oesetup.log and oesetup.log.1

  • Hi.  The oesetup.ini file is the response file that contains your input to the installation.  You can generate one by doing an interactive install and then modify the necessary values before using the .ini file to do a silent install on another computer.
