Progress Software is proud to announce the release of Corticon 5.5.1. With this release, we have added several major enhancements along with bug fixes.

Corticon 5.5.1 Release Highlights

EDC Database Caching

  • Corticon now supports caching of entities and queries used in decision services when you use the Enterprise Data Connector feature
  • The Entity cache is best suited when common database enabled entities are used in the input messages sent to a decision service
  • The Query cache is best suited to optimize the lookup (query) of database data
  • Both these caching modes improve performance by reducing the number of calls to the database

EDC Database Support

  • Support for Postgres and Amazon Redshift databases have been added for Enterprise Database Connector

Automatic Refactoring of File Names and File Paths Within Studio

  • With this release, you can now rename files or folders and move files to other folders -- all with the assurance that Studio automatically takes care of refactoring

Improved Wizard to Package and Deploy Decision Services

  • The previously known Publish Wizard has now been improved to also offer the option to package and save the files for later deployment.
  • The new Package and Deploy Decision Services wizard now gives you the option to generate EDS files directly from Studio.

Enhancements to Corticon Web Console

  • Several improvements have been made to the Web Console including but not limited to
    • On Screen Tips
    • Language preferences and localization
    • Ability to download log files
    • Automatic log out of inactive users

Build and Test Decision Services Through Scripts

  • Automate the building and testing of decision services through command line tools
  • A set of ANT macros has been provided which make it easy to automate within a custom ANT build script

Further details of all the changes can be found in the What’s New in Corticon product documentation that is installed with Corticon and also available as a separate download (www.progress.com/esd).
