Starting with PASOE Production Server 11.7, the
OpenEdge Authentication Gateway is a key component of a centralized authentication and authorization service for database connections. It is an implementation of a Security Token Service (STS) that creates and seals the client-principal tokens that are passed to a web server for single sign-ons. A bundled license of these two licenses was created for this reason.
As such the Control codes for the Progress Production AppServer for OpenEdge (PASOE) and OpenEdge Authentication Gateway (OEAG) License are provided with the same Serial Number as the PAS for OE PROD BUNDLE. To install the PASOE Production Bundle, it is required to install the both products.
