UNIX Systems do not make use of a registry as Windows does. Therefore, perform the following steps to uninstall Progress from UNIX:
Option 1: Run the uninstall script in %DLC/install/.
Option 2: Manually Remove the OpenEdge install
- Completely remove the Progress installation directory.
- If there is any Progress executable files under the /usr/bin directory, then remove them as well (see below).
- Delete all Progress environmental variables from the System. This will ensure that there will be no conflict with any Progress installations that might occur in the future.
- Review cron jobs that are no longer needed
When removing the Progress executable files from
/usr/bin, be careful to not delete any other executable files that might reside under that same directory. The following a list of the files from an OpenEdge version 10.2B _complete_ install will copied /usr/bin when this option is selected during install time:
