Cause
This is an expected behavior for the initial OpenEdge 10.1A release.  In OpenEdge 10.1A FCS the ODBC driver was delivered only for the Microsoft Windows Operating System.
Resolution
Download and install OpenEdge 10.1A SP2 - ODBC drivers were included in Service Pack 2. The drivers can be downloaded from the ESD web site, in the section "Progress Deployment Components". The name of the component is "SQL Client Access".

OpenEdge 10.1A 02 provides drivers for the following UNIX and Linux platforms:

· Solaris 32-bit
· Aix 32-bit
· Linux 32-bit
· HPUX (PA-RISC) 32-bit
