The
Advanced Enterprise Edition RDBMS (AEE RDBMS) installation is controlled with a single Serial Number and Control Code. When the Advanced Enterprise Database license is installed, it has all the features the bundled licenses provide. At this time there is no means to disable or not install features this license includes.
The AEE RDBMS license includes all of the functionality of:
- OpenEdge Enterprise Database
- Transparent Data Encryption
- Multi-tenant Tables
- Table Partitioning
- Replication Plus
- OpenEdge Management (since OpenEdge 11.7, can be disabled post install. Refer to Article How to enable OEE when AEE RDBMS is installed )
- Change Data Capture for Enterprise (since OpenEdge 11.7, is optional at install time)
Once installed, an Enterprise Database must be explicitly enabled for the required features: Transparent Data Encryption, Multi-tenant Tables, Table Partitioning, Replication Plus, Change Data Capture.
