Portmonitor from specific source
Hey,
I need to monitor a device behind a firewall on several ports (e.g. 443 and 2001).
My WUG-Server cannot reach the devices because of firewall rules but there is another server in the same network that can (and has to).
I tried using the TCPIP monitor, but I can't find an option to select another source than the WUG-Server.
My idea is to attach the monitor to the source device and check if it can reach the device on the specific ports.
Do I have to think about an active script monitor or am I missing any predefined solution?
Thank you!
Sven
<ol>
<li>active script or a script on the second device that logs to a text file that WUG can check</li>
<li>purchase an additional poller and place it on the other server, if possible, to poll the device behind the firewall.</li>
</ol>
Yes the packets have to come from WUG.
3rd option is to get WUG white listed to access the service.
