Pages under group pages fail to sync and Sitefinity throws the following exception:

SiteSync error: Telerik.Sitefinity.Pages.Model.PageNode: pagename - failed
System.ArgumentException: Unable to find parent of type Telerik.Sitefinity.Pages.Model.PageNode  with ID 6ada877a-84b8-4454-9890-e40425d77f83

Unable to sync all the pages under a specific parent page. All pages under specific page cannot be synced.

Cause 1:
The Group Pages are not marked for sync, so Sitefinity tries to send their child pages without an existing Parent page on the Target.

Cause  2:
This is expected behavior when the pages are edited and moved around without syncing to the target previously.
The changes made to the page are the following:

• A page is created with URL "/Test" and it is synced
• The URL of the page is changed (to "/TestEdit") on the Source.
• A group page with URL "/Test" is created and the  "/TestEdit" page is moved under it.
• Based on the URL, the "/Test" page, is a Group page on the Source, but on the Target is a Standard page, with different IDs in the two environments.
• When trying to sync the Group page ("/Test"), on the Target it is still a regular page with the same URL ("/Test") and the error is thrown.

Cause 3:
The parent page of the page is unpublished and synced in the previous site sync operation. When any content that is unpublished is synced, the item is deleted from the target site. Hence, performing site sync on child pages will throw the error.

Resolution 1:
If the Group page is appearing in the pending list select it for sync.
If it isn't, edit the Group page by changing some property, save it, and then revert the change and save again.  This will mark the Group pages for synchronization.

After that, all the pages (Group pages and their child pages) will sync successfully.

Resolution 2:
Before moving the edited page ("/TestEdit" - after changing the URL and deleting the additional URLs) under the newly created group page ("/Test"), sync it manually to the Target so that the Target data gets updated and is aware of the new URL. By doing this, the error won't be thrown.

Resolution 3:
Publish the parent page and then perform the site sync operation.

Note: If this is related to a root page, then may need to delete the site on the target and resync the Site settings (make dummy change of the site in question to appear for sync). This will affect only pages (the other content types will not be affected).

When none of the solutionс above resolve the problem recreate the top parent page which holds all pages failing to sync.
