The page is inheriting permissions from the global permissions for all pages. At the global permissions the role Editor has full access to view and manipulate all pages. Checking the permissions on one problematic page, it is inheriting permissions but the Editor role permissions are not being inherited as expected. Upon breaking inheritance on the individual page and then restore inheritance after to pick up the global permissions, the global permissions are still not being applied and the Editor role is still missing.

This is affecting only some pages not all.

Pages are missing permissions inheritance map records for their parent page in the sf_permissions_inheritance_map database table. The exact cause why there are not inheritance map records has not been determined.

Use the attached webform (PermissionsInheritanceFix.aspx) and scheduled task class (FixPermissionsInheritanceTask.cs).

1. Request the webform page and verify the pages that are missing permission inheritance by entering the site map root node id in the field "Display pages for SitemapRootNodeId". All pages that are missing permission inheritance will be displayed. The site node root node id for a certain site can be taken from the sf_sites database table.

2. Enter the site map root node id in the second field "Fix pages for SitemapRootNodeId". This will create a scheduled task that will run in the background after 30 seconds. After the scheduled task completes the permissions inheritance records should be created in the database and the permissions should be fixed for the site which root node id has been entered in the field.
