Post upgrade to version 17.0, file upload is failing to MOVEIt Transfer when initiated from MOVEIt Automation over WEB/HTTPS. SFTP file uploads work fine.

The Web.Config file failed to update properly during the MOVEit upgrade. 

1. Post upgrade to version 17.0, file upload is failing to MOVEit Transfer when initiated from MOVEit Automation over WEB/HTTPS. SFTP file uploads work fine. Error: err 3600 *** Error: hash does not match
2. At the Beginning of troubleshooting, follow the steps as per KB: Automation tasks fail on Transfer host download with "Error: hash does not match attempting to save file ID [file ID] to tempfile [Cachedir]\atc10001.tmp
3. If issue is Not resolved, then ensure that the MOVEitISAPi.dll and MOVEitFilt.dll are of the same version as the deployed version of MOVEIt Transfer.

           If No, then remove the DLL’s or rename the “MOVEitISAPI” folder to “MOVEItISAPI_old” and run Repair. That should re-create the folders.

           If there are different environments like UAT, DEV or staging hosting same version of MOVEIt Transfer, then copy the MOVEItISAPI and MOVEitFilt.dll files from the Working Node to the Offending/Non Working node. **Note: There are situations where the Web.config file, from a Working node needs to be copied to the Non working node.

        4. If  error “405” is seen at MOVEt Automation logs, after making the above changes and the file upload continues to fail using MOVEit Automation to Transfer, then check the DMZ_ISAPi log and verify the ISAPI version.

       5. If the version is older and not the same as the current deployed version then follow the below steps:

           a) Navigate to IIS->Select “moveitdmz” site->Remove MOVEITISAPI application and then re-add the application.

           b) Ensure that the physical path and other attributes are entered correctly. If MOVEit Transfer is installed on D drive then it would be D:\MOVEitTransfer\MOVEItISAPI

          c) Select “MOVEitISAPI’ application once added and navigate to "handler mappings"
          d) Delete all that are present except MOVEitISAPIExtension
               It should ideally have only one Handler. Refer to the following:

         e) Right Click on MOVEitISAPIExtension from handler Mapping and click on “Edit feature permissions”

            Select Script and Execute. Click OK.

          f) Click on OK

          g) Right click on the handler Mapping “MOVEitISAPIextension” ->Edit. Verify the Request path, Executable and Name.

         h) Click on Request Restrictions.

         i) Check Verbs tab.

          j) Check Access tab:

            k) Make changes if necessary to Verbs and Access section.

            l) Click on OK post validation.

           m) The below POP up message originates:

               n) Click on Yes

               o) Perform IISReset using Command prompt as Admin.

               p) Run MOVEit Transfer checker and verify for any errors on ISAPI. Test should pass without errors if the above steps are correctly adhered and complied.

               q) Initiate a Task from MOVEit Automation using MOVEit Transfer DMZ host over Port 443 and file should get uploaded without "Hash" errors.
