Follow the process outlined in Article How to disable largefile on the database

If moving a backup of a database to a system that does not have Enterprise RDBMS license installed it may be necessary to disable large file support.
On the system where a database has been enabled for large file support
1. Backup the existing database using
probkup db_name db_name.bak

On the system where only Workgroup RDBMS license is installed
2. Create a .st file where each area which exists in the original database is defined.
Define enough extents to hold each of the areas from the original database.  
For simplicity sake make sure no file extent is defined with a value greater than 2000000.

Example of one extent definition:
d "area51":51,64;8 /usr1/db f 2000000
All size references are in 1k units so 2000000 as is shown above is 2 million 1k blocks which is just under 2 gigabytes.

3. Create a void database using the db_name.st file using
prostrct create db_name db_name.st -blocksize 8192
4. Restore the database backup from the step 1 to the void database created on the step 3
prorest db_name db_name.bak
By creating a void database which hasn't been enabled for large files and restoring into that void databse, the restored database will not have large files enabled.

NOTE: that the above steps will work in 10.x, 10.1x or OE version below 10.2B04.

If using OE 10.2B04 or higher, need to use the following to disable large file:
prorest db_name db_name.bak -keeptargetlfe
 
-keeptargetlfe is an option to "keep the targets large file enable setting".  Whatever value the target database has for large file support will be persisted.
 
5. Check whether the large file enable shows up on the database from step 3 using
proutil db_name -C describe
