audit data can be dumped using auditarchive but auditload fails with Internal error occurred in audKeyCreate, errno 3, ret -3. (12524)

The auditarchive do not give any error message, the audit load give error messages like:

Loading table _aud-audit-data. (13573)
Internal error occurred in audKeyCreate, errno 3, ret -3. (12524)

Audit load failed. (13023)

Corrupted records were present in the _aud-audit-data table.

The corrupted records in the table _aud-audit-data have more than 1970 bytes/characters in the field _Event-context

Find out which records are corrupted by running the following 4GL code:

FOR EACH _aud-audit-data NO-LOCK WHERE LENGTH(_aud-audit-data._Event-context, "CHARACTER") > 1970 :
DISP string(RECID(_aud-audit-data)) format "x(11)" SUBSTRING(_Event-context,1,12,"CHARACTER") LENGTH(_aud-audit-data._Event-context, "CHARACTER") .
END.

(the value 1970 is the maximum amount of bytes for the index key size:  https://community.progress.com/s/article/P113284)

The 4GL code above should return something like:

123123123    ~\~\~\~\      3,393
123123124    ~\~\~\~\      3,393
123123125    ~\~\~\~\      3,393

then delete the corrupted records using 4GL code like:

FOR EACH _aud-audit-data
WHERE RECID(_aud-audit-data) = 123123123
OR RECID(_aud-audit-data) = 123123124
OR RECID(_aud-audit-data) = 123123125 :
DELETE _aud-audit-data.

(replace 123123123, 123123124 and 123123125 with the real recids) and then do the auditarchive and auditload again.
