It is beyond the scope of Corticon Progress Technical Support to assist with the creation of custom scripts and solutions, tools and utilities, configuring 3rd party database drivers in 6.1, configuring specific application server configurations, assisting with full installations/configurations, performing full system reviews, performance tuning, installation/configuration of other products, rulesheet and ruleflow review for potential inefficiencies, isolate performance issues, writing rules to implement certain functionality, requirement or use case.

Depending on information provided, Progress Corticon Technical Support may provide general guidelines/examples on rule operator usage in rules, suggest corrections to a rulesheet that has any errors, may point out commonly used configuration settings or properties or provide generic solutions which can suggest ways to improve performance ,or may provide guidance on how to narrow down/isolate problem areas.

If the performance issue has been isolated to a very specific ruleflow or a limited set of rulesheets or a small subset of code then Technical Support may investigate further as a potential bug.

Since Technical Support does not perform full system reviews, any recommendations made by Technical Support will not have considered the system as a whole and may adversely affect other processes on a system that Technical Support is unaware of.

Corticon Professional Services group performs full system reviews, detailed analysis on rulesheet and ruleflow, assist with rule writing to implement a requirement/scenario/use case, capacity planning, performance tuning to improve response times, built custom solutions and scripts/tools and can assist with isolating and troubleshooting performance issues. They can also provide tailored courses for your training needs required for rule implementation/rule writing.

Any custom utility built by Professional services needs to be maintained and supported by the user/Professional services team. Progress Support will not assist with issues in the custom utility that was created for the user or maintain the tool for the user.
