What's the purpose of the SSL parameters in the PASOE MSAgent configuration?

The above properties are shown as follows in the OpenEdge Explorer/Management console:

Cause

These properties are legacy properties from the Classic AppServer which are not relevant within the PASOE since TLS/SSL is controlled by Tomcat connectors.

SSL/TLS encrypted communication between the Session manager and the MSAgent is unsupported and would provide no benefit since the 2 communicating processes are local to the system (localhost).

Resolution

These parameters can safely be ignored. They have been removed from both OpenEdge Explorer UI and openedge.properties starting with OpenEdge 12.
