Using the IDataEvent, we can catch when a Page or a Dynamic content item is Created/Published. Based on that, we can send automatically the item to be translated into all languages that are available for the site.

1. We have to attach to the IDataEvent in the Global.asax.cs class. This will allow us to modify items based on the Publish action.

protected void Application_Start(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
    Bootstrapper.Bootstrapped += Bootstrapper_Bootstrapped;
}

private void Bootstrapper_Bootstrapped(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
    EventHub.Subscribe<IDataEvent>(evt => DataEventHandler(evt));
}

2. The logic for sending an item for translation in all languages that are available for the site (in the Multisite setup). This sample is created to use the Default XLIFF connector that comes with Sitefinity. The connector can be changed based on the needs.

private void DataEventHandler(IDataEvent eventInfo)
{
    var action = eventInfo.Action;
    var contentType = eventInfo.ItemType;
    var itemId = eventInfo.ItemId;
    var providerName = eventInfo.ProviderName;

    var multisiteManager = SystemManager.CurrentContext as MultisiteContext;
    CultureInfo currentCulture = multisiteManager.CurrentSiteContext.Site.DefaultCulture;
    CultureInfo[] frontendLanguages = multisiteManager.CurrentSiteContext.Site.Cultures;
    var languagesForTranslation = frontendLanguages.Where(x => x.Name != currentCulture.Name);
    var workflowEvent = eventInfo as IApprovalWorkflowEvent;

    //Pages
    if (contentType == typeof(PageNode) && workflowEvent.ApprovalWorkflowState == "Published" && (action == "New" || action == "Updated"))
    {
        PageManager pageMgr = PageManager.GetManager();
        PageNode pageNode = pageMgr.GetPageNode(itemId);

        // Creates a translation project selecting the XLIFF connector. Change the connector to the correct one on your end.
        var projectInfo = new ProjectInfo(
                "Translating Pages Test", // Title of the project. The title can be changed based on the needs. Example: pageNode.Id
                DateTime.UtcNow, // Start date
                DateTime.UtcNow.AddDays(5), // Due date
                "Translating all Pages from EN to all", // Description
                TranslationService.Current.Connectors.First().Name, // connector name
                string.Empty, // PO reference
                currentCulture.Name); // the actual language of the source

        // Send the items to the translation agency
        TranslationService.Current.SendForTranslation(
            pageNode,
            currentCulture,
            languagesForTranslation,
            projectInfo,
            currentCulture);

        return;
    }

    //NewsItems
    if (contentType == typeof(NewsItem) && workflowEvent.ApprovalWorkflowState == "Published" && (action == "New" || action == "Updated"))
    {
        NewsManager newsManager = NewsManager.GetManager();
        NewsItem item = newsManager.GetNewsItems().Where(newsItem => newsItem.Id == itemId).FirstOrDefault();

        if (item.Status == ContentLifecycleStatus.Live)
        {
        // Creates a translation project selecting the XLIFF connector. Change the connector to the correct one on your end.
            var projectInfo = new ProjectInfo(
                    "Translating News Test", // Title of the project. The title can be changed based on the needs. Example: item.Id

        var dynamicModuleManager = DynamicModuleManager.GetManager(providerName);
        var dynamicItem = dynamicModuleManager.GetDataItems(contentType).Where(x => x.Id == itemId && x.Status == ContentLifecycleStatus.Live).FirstOrDefault();

        if (dynamicItem == null)
        {

        }

        var item = dynamicItem as IDataItem;
