• Verify/restore the following settings:
   
• The WhatsUpGold_User user must exist on the WhatsUp Gold Server
• Click Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management.
• Expand the Local Users and Groups section in the left-hand pane of the window.
• Click the Users folder.
• If the WhatUpGold_User account does not exist, a GPO conflict may exist and if so, needs to be resolved at the Domain Controller.
• The WhatsUpGold_User must be a member of the Local Administrators group on the WhatsUp Gold server

This user must have the permissions mentioned in the error.  Verify these permissions by launching a run line on WUG server and entering gpedit.msc

In the left pane, Click Windows Settings/Security Settings/Local Policies/User Rights Assignment

In the right pane Locate and double-click Log on as batch job.

If the Administrators group does not appear in this list, a GPO conflict may exist and if so needs to be resolved at the Domain Controller.

IMPORTANT:  If the GPO is systematically applied to servers on a regular basis, this issue may reappear. You may need to work with your Network Administrator to reassess the GPOs that are applied to this server.

Open IIS.
Select Application Pools. Select NmConsole. Click Advanced Settings. Under Process Model select the “…” for Identity.  Choose Custom account and click Set. Enter the WhatsUpGold_User account credentials and save.

 

Under Sites, select WhatsUpGold. Click Advanced Settings. Under (General) select the “…” for Physical Path Credentials.  Choose Specific user and click Set. Enter the WhatsUpGold_User account credentials and save.

Under Sites, select WhatsUpGold. Click Basic Settings. Choose Test Settings. Verify WhatsUpGold_User account credentials are valid and path is accessible.


Under Sites>WhatsUpGold, select iDrone. Click Advanced Settings. Under (General) select the “…” for Physical Path Credentials.  Choose Specific user and click Set. Enter the WhatsUpGold_User account credentials and save.

Start>run>services.msc
Restart Ipswitch Service Control Manager.
Restart World Wide Web Publishing Service.
