Text and date formats are printed using the host default java locale for the ASBMAN command.

To override the data/time and language format used by Java for AdminServer, asbman; wtbman, etc. use the following instructions.

Set the JAVA_TOOL_OPTIONS environment variable to use an appropriate locale.
Set the -Duser.country and -Duser.language values to appropriate values, per the java standards at https://www.oracle.com/technical-resources/articles/javase/locale.html .
Language codes can be found at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ISO_639-1_codes , and country codes at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_3166-1 .
 

NOTE: Java is case sensitive so if the incorrect case is used for the command or value the option will be ignored.
 

Example setting and starting the AdminServer and AppServer from a proenv session, on a system where US English is the default, the language and date formats can be changed to German
with the following commands:

proenv>set JAVA_TOOL_OPTIONS=-Duser.country=DE -Duser.language=de
proenv>proadsv -start
proenv>asbman -name asbroker1 -start

When the ASBMAN command is run, the following is seen (values using bolded text), indicating that the overridden values are used.

proenv>asbman -i asbroker1 -q

Example output of asbman -query showing both date/time format changes as well as language to match the above example for German language and date/time format:

NOTE: The JAVA_TOOL_OPTIONS values must be in place before the AdminServer is started.
These can be set in the initial scripts which launch the AdminServer on Unix systems.
On Windows they should be set as System Environment Variables so they are in place when the AdminServer is started as a Windows service.
