Resolution

The comment widget shows the NickName of the user. Currently, the NickName is the same as UserName and this is the default behavior.
The solution is to first change the NickName for all users using the attached webform. It changes the NickName to be FirstName + LastName, refer to the attached (UpageUserProfiles.zip)

Once this is done to persist this for newly created users and users who update their FirstName and LastName refer to the below code that must be added in Global.asax. It uses the events for user profiles(Sitefinity Documentation, Profile Events http://docs.sitefinity.com/for-developers-profile-events), Creating and Updating and will always make the NickName = FirstName + LastName for newly created users and user who update their info.

protected void Application_Start(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
Bootstrapper.Initialized+=Bootstrapper_Initialized;
}
void Bootstrapper_Initialized(object sender, Telerik.Sitefinity.Data.ExecutedEventArgs e)
{
if (e.CommandName == "Bootstrapped")
{
EventHub.Subscribe<ProfileUpdating>(evt => ProfileEventHandler(evt));
EventHub.Subscribe<ProfileCreating>(evt => ProfileEventHandler(evt));
}
}

public void ProfileEventHandler(ProfileCreating eventInfo)
{
UserProfileManager pm = UserProfileManager.GetManager();
var profile = pm.GetUserProfile<SitefinityProfile>(eventInfo.Profile.User);
if (profile.Nickname != (profile.FirstName + " " + profile.LastName))
{
pm.GetUserProfile<SitefinityProfile>(eventInfo.Profile.User).Nickname = profile.FirstName + " " + profile.LastName;
pm.SaveChanges();
}
}

public void ProfileEventHandler(ProfileUpdating eventInfo)
{
UserProfileManager pm = UserProfileManager.GetManager();
var profile = pm.GetUserProfile<SitefinityProfile>(eventInfo.Profile.User);
if (profile.Nickname != (profile.FirstName + " " + profile.LastName))
{
pm.GetUserProfile<SitefinityProfile>(eventInfo.Profile.User).Nickname = profile.FirstName + " " + profile.LastName;
pm.SaveChanges();
}
}
