How to connect to Oracle Opera endpoints use the OAuth2.0 Password Credentials grant type for authentication from the Progress DataDirect Autonomous REST Connector(ARC) for JDBC.

Is there a way to authenticate via OAuth2.0 password credentials grant type from the Autonomous REST Connector?

Using Postman and passing the token request in  x-www-form-urlencoded format?

To authenticate using the Password Credentials Grant Type, ARC requires you to configure the following properties in your connection or model file:

Required Properties:
AuthenticationMethod: OAuth2
OAuthGrantType: Password
TokenURI: The endpoint to fetch the access token (e.g., https://<opera-domain>/oauth2/token)
ClientID: Your client ID
ClientSecret: Your client secret
Username: The resource owner's username
Password: The resource owner's password
Scope (optional but often required): The scope of access

Example Configuration Snippet:
{
"AuthenticationMethod": "OAuth2",
"OAuthGrantType": "Password",
"TokenURI": "https://<opera-domain>/oauth2/token"",
"ClientID": "your-client-id",
"ClientSecret": "your-client-secret",
"Username": "user@example.com",
"Password": "your-password",
"Scope": "your-scope"
}

### Note:  ARC does not support x-www-form-urlencoded bodies directly. Instead, it sends the token request as a JSON payload. If Oracle Opera's token endpoint strictly requires application/x-www-form-urlencoded, this could be a blocker. In such cases, a workaround is to fetch the token externally (e.g., via a script or integration tool like Postman or a custom HTTP client), and then pass the token to ARC using the OAuthAccessToken property.
